After a varied career in computer and electrical engineering, Arturo followed his father and brother into the family business of offering financial planning to clients. A North Carolina native, Arturo graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with bachelor's degrees in computer and electrical engineering. While there, he studied in Cuba as part of the University Scholars Program and completed the University Cooperative Education Program. He continued his education, earning a master's in computer engineering. He also holds Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 licenses, insurance licenses for life, health, and long-term care, and his AIF^® and CKA^® designations.

Arturo is an active member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest, is Secretary of the Franklin County Ducks Unlimited Committee, and is on the board of directors of the North Carolina Forestry Association. When he has time, you can find him hunting, fishing, camping, and watching the Carolina Hurricanes. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, his son, Henry, and his two daughters, Genevieve and Margaret.
